My Story
Chrystal Dawn Jameson
Founder of Play Brave Co.
I was raised in the lava fields of Kaʻū.
Off-grid in Hawai‘i, down slow, rugged roads, in the back of trucks, under a hot sun, in a place where the earth felt alive beneath us. We lived close to everything. Weather. Ocean. Fire. Family. Hunger. Beauty. The kind of life where play wasn’t separate from survival, creativity wasn’t separate from resourcefulness, and nature wasn’t a backdrop. She was the teacher.
That kind of beginning marks a woman.
I became a storyteller because I have always been listening for what lives underneath the surface. I’ve worked in film, media, retreats, yoga spaces, surf spaces, circles, kitchens, conversations, and wild places. I’ve travelled, created, fallen apart, rebuilt after betrayal, divorce, mothered, moved countries, renovated a caravan, started again, and again, and again.
Phoenix is not a metaphor to me.
It is lived.
The work I do now is for creative women who can feel something inside them asking to move. Women with ideas, gifts, stories, businesses, bodies, families, longings, and fire. Women who are done trying to force their way into clarity and know there must be another way back to themselves.
I create spaces for that return.
Through play, story, movement, food, nature, conversation, and women coming together, we loosen what has gone tight. We bring breath back into the body. We let the ideas speak. We stop performing aloneness. We practice being seen. We make the move.
Because life is not waiting for you to become more perfect.
It is asking you to come alive.
And that is where we begin.
My Work
My work sits at the intersection of communication, creativity, and embodied experience.
Through Creative Reset Sessions, Creative Labs, and curated experiences, I help people:
get out of their head and into clarity
untangle ideas and decision-making
reconnect with their voice and direction
move forward with confidence and momentum
Because when we shift our state, we shift how we think, and when imagination opens, new possibilities emerge.
My Background
Raised off-grid in Hawai‘i, my early life was shaped by nature, creativity, and self-reliance.
My path has taken me across the world, from working in film and media to health, coaching, and facilitation, collaborating with global brands including Toyota and Land Rover, contributing to international projects, and guiding experiences across diverse environments.
I’ve facilitated yoga and surf-based experiences, co-created retreats, and spent years working with story, both behind the camera and in conversation, exploring what helps people come back to themselves and move forward in meaningful ways.
What I Believe
When we’re stuck in pressure, we lose access to creativity, flexibility, and clear thinking.
Play brings that back.
It softens the grip.
It opens perspective.
It creates movement.
My work is about creating the conditions for that shift so people can think differently, feel more like themselves again, and take the next step with clarity and confidence.
Because when we return to play, we return to possibility.
