My Story
CHRYSTAL DAWN JAMESON
Founder of PlayBrave Co.
Raised off-grid in the lava fields of Kaʻū, Hawaiʻi, I grew up immersed in nature, adventure, creativity, storytelling, and community. Days were spent exploring wild places and making magic out of whatever was around us. Looking back, I can see that those early experiences shaped much of how I move through life today.
Since then, life has taken me across oceans and into some extraordinary chapters. I've travelled extensively, worked in film and media, had my writing, photography, and films published and screened internationally, lived through heartbreak and reinvention, renovated a caravan and hit the road, and am now raising my son while continuing to navigate the beautiful, messy, unpredictable adventure of life.
What fascinates me most isn't success or achievement. It's aliveness.
After decades spent exploring creativity, wellbeing, personal growth, adventure, and human potential, I've come to believe that many of us have forgotten something essential. We become so busy carrying responsibility, solving problems, planning, striving, and holding everything together that we lose touch with our natural sense of play, wonder, joy, and participation.
Play Brave Collective emerged from that realization and from witnessing how quickly things can shift when people reconnect with themselves in a more playful way. Not because life suddenly becomes easier, but because something softens. New possibilities appear. Energy returns. We remember who we are.
PlayBrave Co. was born from the embodied understanding that play is power, joy is a frequency, and fun matters.
If there's one thing I hope people discover here, it's that life isn't waiting for us somewhere in the future. It's happening now, and every brave step towards yourself matters.
Remember that you’re worth it, and thrive on brave soul! xx

Empowering Women, Giving Back
I believe in women rising together. A portion of our profits proudly supports WORTH (The Women’s Outreach Trauma Health service) (worth.org.au), an incredible grassroots initiative providing trauma-informed care for women and children in the Northern Rivers community. WORTH’s work includes counseling, therapeutic group support, and specialized care to help women rebuild their lives after adversity.
I believe in the power of grassroots movements acting locally while thinking globally. Change starts in our communities, and together we can create a ripple effect that impacts the world. When you join PlayBrave Collective, you’re not only transforming your own life but also uplifting others and contributing to a global movement of women supporting women.
Let’s rise together and rewrite stories, one brave step at a time.
My work is shaped by a lifetime of movement, storytelling, creativity, reinvention, and embodied practice.
I’m a certified Health & Wellness Coach, Master NLP Practitioner, yoga teacher, filmmaker, writer, photographer, and facilitator with a background in creative media, storytelling, nervous system work, embodiment, and women’s-centered coaching.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hawai‘i, completed postgraduate coursework in Media Arts & Production at the University of Technology Sydney, and have trained across wellness, coaching, movement, plant-based nutrition, yoga, breathwork, and human potential.
My studies and experiences have taken me from Mysore, India to surf towns, retreats, creative productions, film sets, and communities around the world.
Alongside professional training, my work is deeply informed by lived experience through motherhood, grief, heartbreak, reinvention, rebuilding, adventure, movement, and major life transitions.
I’ve also collaborated with brands and publications including Toyota, Patagonia, Wanderlust Australia & New Zealand, Land Rover, Surfing World, Penny Skateboards, and NALU Magazine.
At the heart of it all is an embodied understanding: that play is power, joy is a frequency, and fun matters.
Because when we reconnect to movement, play, creativity, nature, and honest participation, we reconnect to life itself.
